Layered Color, Inks, and Mixed Media Luminosity.
Focus on subtle color shifts, transparent glazing, and the luminous interplay of watercolor with inks and mixed media. Practice thin, controlled layers and glazing strategies that create temperature, depth, and weathered surfaces. Add alcohol inks and other mixed media to introduce vibrant blooms, reactive textures, and unexpected marks that sit alongside granulating pigments and delicate washes. Key materials: Transparent watercolors; granulating paints; glazing brushes; mixing trays; alcohol inks; liquid inks; masking fluid; collage papers; texture mediums.
