Freelancing: A Professional Rebirth as a Designer in Spain After Moving from the U.S.

Relocating to Spain after 25+ years of working in the U.S. as a “Creative” has been both a refreshing challenge and a professional rebirth. As someone who managed multimillion-dollar government contracts, led diverse creative teams, and built brand strategies for complex companies and organizations, I thought I had seen it all. But beginning to freelance again in a new country with a new language and culture reminded me that even the most seasoned designers are perpetual students.
